Alain Grosjean is a partner in the dispute resolution practice of Bonn & Schmitt where he specialises in international litigation, focusing on a wide spectrum of civil and commercial disputes, as well as arbitration for over 20 years. He specializes in corporate litigation, shareholders disputes, directors and shareholders liability and in the fields of assets tracing.

In addition, Alain deals with all traditional aspects of labour law (such as individual dismissal, temporary work, cross-border employment, international secondment, etc.) and all types of disputes that may arise in connection thereto. His expertise covers sensitive cases of collective redundancies.

He also assists clients involved in high-profile international criminal and civil litigations in cases amounting to hundreds of millions of euros. He coordinates the actions of the different international law firms involved in these cross-border cases.

Alain is accredited by the Luxembourg Mediation Center and is used to attempting pre-litigation negotiations and regularly succeeds in putting an end to litigation through mediation techniques. Alain is also specialised in intellectual property and new technologies, information and communication, data protection and e-commerce.

Alain is the Secretary Gerenal of UIA (Union Internationale des Avocats). Alain has published numbers of articles with regard to data protection. He is the current President of the Intangible Rights Commission of the Luxembourg Bar Association, a body which advises the Luxembourg bar on related sensible issues, and among others the issue of Data Protection Rules in the day to day legal profession. He has also assisted the Luxembourg Data Protection Authority (Commission Nationale pour la Protection des Données) in formal proceedings.

Alain is regularly mandated to provides comments on Luxembourg bill of laws relating to a wide range of legal matters. His comments are regularly published on the Luxembourg Parliament website, as part of the parliamentary activities.
